Mostar
Split
The plan
Počitelj
A stop at the fortress village above the Neretva, if the timing works.
Mostar
The Old Bridge, the bazaar and lunch in the old town.
Split
From Mostar we cross back into Croatia and drive down to the coast, to your accommodation in Split.
Good to know
Two border crossings, so everyone needs a passport or ID card. Summer queues can stretch the day, and we plan for that when we agree the start time.
Other day trips
-
Srđ, the Ombla and the big bridge
Two hours for the best views of Dubrovnik, from the hilltop above the Old Town to the river under the rock.
-
Cavtat, Župa Bay and the view from Srđ
Dubrovnik from above, the coast road over Župa Bay and slow time on the Cavtat waterfront.
-
Konavle villages, mills and Sokol Grad
Our own valley: Čilipi, the water mills on the Ljuta and the fortress on the rock.
-
Konavle wine estates
A day among the family vineyards of Konavle, with someone else driving.
-
Trsteno, Slano and Ston
An old Renaissance garden, a quiet bay and the walls of Ston.
-
Ston walls, oysters and Pelješac wine
The walls in the morning, oysters at lunch, wine villages in the afternoon.
