Cavtat, Župa Bay and the view from Srđ
Half a day that pairs the big view of Dubrovnik with an easy afternoon in Cavtat, the harbour town where Pavo lives.
Staying in Dubrovnik? We go up Srđ, drive along Župa Bay and leave you time in Cavtat before the ride back. Staying in Cavtat? We go the other way round and finish at your door.

Cavtat / Konavle
Dubrovnik from Srđ
The plan
Srđ
The classic view over the Old Town and Lokrum from the hill behind the city.
Župa Bay
The road runs above the bay, with the beaches of Kupari, Srebreno and Mlini below.
Cavtat
Boats and cafés along the waterfront, and the pine-covered Rat peninsula, which you can walk round in about half an hour. On the hill above stands the Račić family mausoleum by the sculptor Ivan Meštrović. The house where the painter Vlaho Bukovac was born is in the old town and open as a gallery.
Good to know
Bring swimwear: there are rocks for a swim around the Rat peninsula. If you would rather go back to Dubrovnik by boat from the Cavtat harbour, we can leave you there.
